Summer Hair, Part 2

After being out in the heat of the city for a few weeks, working not only on my tan but also methods for keeping cool, I've come back with another way to keep your hair cute.

It might seem a bit obvious, but braids. While fishtail braids might've taken over the runways and red carpets over the past year, people don't utilize the French braid as much. Because yours truly is working with shorter hair, I often French braid one side of my hair, and then the other, leaving my side with bangs a little looser so that fall out and create a nice effect.

If you're thinking French braids are a little too elementary for you, think again. The key to doing them in a mature way is to make them looser, and to allow them to look messy. Too prim or tight, and you look like Heidi or some Swiss Miss from a German Beer Fest.

If you're having some trouble with remembering how to French Braid, here's a TUTORIAL

Throw on a gauzy tee with cut offs with some high top sneakers or maybe a maxi, such as our color blocked one (http://www.saintchic.com/collections/spring-summer-2012/products/color-blocked-caftan-dress-with-bodysuit) and you're good to go! Our color blocked one especially looks amazing with sleek accessories, like a snake bangle or a pair of metallic gladiators.

Try and beat the heat!
